Bleeding Hemorrhoids

Hemorrhoids bleeding are caused due to the swelling of the vascular structures of the anal canal whose function is to help in the passage of stool. There are two types of hemorrhoids; those found in the internal parts of the anal canal and could be diagnosed by the bleeding emerging during the passage of stool are called internal hemorrhoids. These normally are painless. The other kind of hemorrhoids occur outside the anal canal, at its extreme opening are called external hemorrhoids, these cause pain and itching. Both of the types could bleed while passing stool. The disease is caused due to constipation, pregnancy, weight lifting, sitting for long intervals and sitting on the toilet seat for long. Treatments should be taken immediately as this is a serious problem, which needs attention.

For the start anyone suffering from bleeding hemorrhoids should take food rich in fibers as this would help in easy passage of stool, which could be used both as preventing the disease and curing it too. Ample intake of water also helps a lot. There are many over the counter bleeding hemorrhoids treatment. These medications are mainly helpful in reducing itching. Also the treatment is found in form of ointments, creams, gels, suppositories, foams, and pads. Anesthetics (local) could be used to reduce itching and pain on the outer parts of anal canal, but excess of its usage may cause allergy. Other things, which could be used, are protectants, astringents, antiseptics, keratolytics, analgesics, corticosteroids.
